Abstract
The article summarizes briefly, how the personal papers of scholars and scientists are treated in Czech archives, expecially in the question of selection of documents. The authors tried to use their experiences from the practice in the Institute of History and Archives of Charles, whose archivists take care about personal papers of more than 100 scholars and scientists.
