Abstrakt
Bohumír Menzl was a Czech Catholic priest who visited his compatriots in Texas in 1849-1851. After his return, he wrote several essays about this sojourn, and we can say that he was one of the reasons why more people from Bohemia and Moravia went to the Lone Star State.
