Abstract
This article introduces the term of music literacy, which in not commonly used in the Czech environment. In the context of the development of music literacy, online tools supporting the preparation of future teachers are coming in use.
The online publication Music Education in Practice and the e-learning course Music Education reflect these needs. These tools present listening, vocal instrumental and dramatic activities through didactic examples.
The intention is to outline suitable sub-topics for teaching that can be used not only within the didactic of music education, but also across other subject didactics.
