Effect of Addition of Rare Earth Elements on the Microstructure, Texture, and Mechanical Properties of Extruded ZK60 Alloy

Abstrakt

Microstructure, texture and mechanical properties of extruded ZK60 alloys containing different rare earth (RE) elements were studied. Two alloys containing 1 and 2 wt% Ce-rich lanthanides as well as two other alloys with 1 and 2 wt% Y were prepared and denoted as ZK60-1RE, ZK60-2RE, ZK60-1Y and ZK60-2Y, respectively.
