The overview article was created on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Slavist, Balkanist, writer and tanslator, prof. Ivan Dorovský.
The text recapitulated his life's fortunes, then summarizes his scientific, literary and cpopularizing work, including the names of selected specific works.
