Abstract
This large thematic text deals with the issue of collecting and preserving moving image art in Czech republic. Interviews with representatives of leading domestic public galleries are framed by broader philosophical questions concerning the role of audiovisual media in our understanding of duration and memory, considerations of physical media transformations, as well as developments and approaches to the preservation of moving image art observable abroad.
