Abstrakt
The international workshop entitled "Habsburg Spheres between Spain, Central Europe, and Colonial Latin America 1500-1700" took place in Prague at the Centre for Ibero-American Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in cooperation with the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and the University of Salamanca. The workshop was devoted to the research of the Habsburg sphere of influence in Spain, Central Europe and Latin America during the modern period.The theme of the workshop was the so-called entangled history and the possibilities of studying these imaginary distant areas, which in reality were connected by a number of common interconnecting phenomena and themes, whether it was the rule of the Habsburgs, the activities of the Church or the circulation of ideas and customs between the Old and the New World.
