The doyenne of Czech Bulgarian studies Danuše Hronková passed away

Abstract

The obituary deals with the contribution of Danuše (Dana) Hronková (1930-2022) to the Czech literary Bulgarian studies. Attention is also paid to biographical details, especially to the circumstances that determined her final decision to study Bulgarian studies, as well as her personal ties to the Bulgarian intellectual and academic milieu.
