Abstract
Review of the publication "Pavol Šveda, Interpretation in theory and practice (Volume I), STIMUL, Consulting and Publishing Centre, Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Arts, Bratislava 2021, 113 p., ISBN 979-80-8127-334-6 (PDF), ISBN 978-80-8127-335-3 (EPUB)". The publication has the character of a handbook or textbook for students of Interpreting.
In several chapters, the author discusses the different types of interpreting and types of interpreting situations, describes the main interpreting models, focuses on memory, interpreting note-taking and modern technologies, especially simultaneous interpreting online via RSI platforms. Each chapter or section includes a brief summary.
The author tries to write his handbook in an appealing form and in language that today's young generation of students can relate to.
