Recently inorganic metal-trihalide perovskites, especially CsPbBr3 became one of the most researched compounds. Their outstanding optoelectronic properties, as high photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield, long diffusion length, color purity, and low cost make them emerging materials with variable applications (solar cells,

LEDs, X-ray detectors etc.). Albeit, producing of highly photoluminescent thin films is still a challenge. Complicated phase diagram of Cs-Pb-Br, as well as a low solubility of CsBr in common organic solvents often leads to the appearance of additional phases, poor surface coverage and number of other structural and electronic defects in films, decreasing their photoluminescence and limiting their possible usage.

The film quality improvement can be achieved by structural modification (adding of a third component, i.e. polymer or nanoparticles) or by direct material doping. Usage of lanthanides is a superior way for promoting of perovskites photoluminescence, opening new horizons for the enhancement of their optical properties. Cerium cation has similar to Lead cation radii, enabling its incorporation into the lattice without strong lattice disturb- ance, making it an intriguing and perspective dopant for study
