Jews in legals spaces of early modern Habsburg and Ottoman empires

Abstract

The contribution wishes to deal comparatively with Jewish experience in legal spaces of the early modern Ottoman and Habsburg empires. It examines the following topics: rabbinical views of the state law and state institutions, Jews at non-Jewish legal instances, Jewish law in the eyes of the state, non-Jews at Jewish legal instances.
