Abstract
Looking at the ancient past of our European identity may seem obvious to many of us, and often we cannot even name the main features of our Europeanness. This is natural, for much of our cultural identity is rooted deep in prehistory.
It has been shaped over 300 generations and its current evolution is a dynamic synthesis of ancient traditions with the global challenges of today.
