Abstract

The introductory study to the Czech edition of the Compendium of German Literature in the Bohemian Lands looks back at attitudes towards German-language literature in this territory and the ways in which it has been taken into account in Czech literary historiography, especially in literary-historical syntheses after 2000, and clarifies the conceptual self-conception of the Compendium in this context.
