The brothers Václav Vojtěch, Jan Norbert and Ignác Karel, Counts of Sternberg, undertook their Grand Tour in 1662-1665, from which two travel diaries in Czech have survived. In a short introduction, the author characterizes the specifics of this journey, followed by an analysis of the sources and the edition of the two diaries.
The book concludes with a photographic supplement with extensive commentaries and biographical chapters on the three brothers summarizing their subsequent life paths and especially their cultural activities, undoubtedly influenced by their previous travel experiences.
