Abstract

The development of students' spatial ability is important for their future because it is applied in many fields, such as technology, medical science and art. In our explorative study, we focused on whether and how our set of increasingly difficult tasks can help students of mathematics in Czech secondary schools and pre-service teachers practice spatial ability.

We observed what problems students encountered when dealing with these tasks and established the benefits of and obstacles to their implementation into lessons.
