Abstract

The lecture focuses on practical classroom implications of the exploration of personal linguistic repertoire in the cognitive framework of critical langauge awareness. It tackles the manner in which features of language reproduce, reinforce, or challenge ideologies and struggles for power and dominance.

Moreover, it emphasises the importance of teaching second or foreign language from the perspective of the reasons behind language choices and identity profiles of the speakers.
