Jewish Cemeteries as Part of the Czech Landscape in the Changing Perspective of the Wider \public and Researchers

Abstract

The study is dedicated ti the professional interest i Jewish cementeries in the Czech Lands that has always been connected with the public interest or disinterest, from the late 19th century to the threshold of the Velvet Revolution (1989). The introductory passage is dedicated to the discussion stirred up by the Prague redevelopment (from 1893) that damaged part of the Old Jewish Cemetery.
