Abstrakt
The history of collective investment and the formation of the first collective investments and open -end mutual funds dates back to the period before our era.
The motivation for collective investment so far is to have common assets instead of individual investments, the need to minimize risk and the need to diversify this risk has been indicated. The modern history of collective investment has its roots in Europe. A significant development of collective investment occurred in the 20th century. At present, collective investment is a developed financial market institution. The aim of the article is to provide a historical excursion through the development of collective investment.
