Abstract
The aim of this article is to present Guardini's contemplative and mystagogical approach to the mystery of Jesus of Nazareth with special reference to his book The Lord. It presents the circumstances of the creation of this work and outlines the main elements in the author's narrative Christology.
In the conclusion, the author attempts a partial comparison with some contemporary books on Jesus and points to the enduring relevance of Guardini's famous work.
