Do Czech courts follow the principle of judicial self-restraint in their decision-making?

Abstract

The article is devoted to the principle of judicial self-restraint and its (in)application in the decision-making of the courts of the Czech Republic, including the Constitutional Court. The principle of judicial self-restraint can be defined as the requirement that courts act and decide only on matters falling within the jurisdiction of the courts and that they refrain from acting and deciding on matters falling within the jurisdiction of other bodies, especially legislative, executive and self-governing bodies.

Courts are not supposed to decide political questions.
