Search for Lepton Flavour Universality Violation in Tau Lepton Decays at Belle II

Abstract

The Belle II experiment is an upgrade of the Belle detector, operating since 2018 at the SuperKEKB energy-asymmetric e+e- collider. Belle II has a broad physics program including tau lepton physics, from high-precision Standard Model measurements to New Physics searches such as Lepton Flavour Universality (LFU) violation.

The Belle II experiment is introduced, LFU measurements are discussed and the strategy for measuring Rµ ratio in τ lepton decays at Belle II is described.
