Abstract
The study discusses the results of the current literature on the rich urban and architectural planning documentation preserved in the archives for Prague in the 20th century. These are the planning and sometimes also the broad design for building plans that could not be transferred from the design stage to reality for financial or political reasons, or the "legacy" of urban planning and architectural competitions.
The surviving materials tell a lot about the contemporary view of the city and its development concepts.
