Abstract
The monograph is addressed to doctors who treat patients with primary hyperparathyroidism. The author's collective based the conception of the book on the experiences of III. surgical clinics, III. internal clinics - clinics of endocrinology and metabolism and the Anatomical Institute of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, UK.
The book was designed to provide those interested with a comprehensive view of this issue. Given that the basic treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism is surgical treatment - removal of hyperfunctioning parathyroid tissue, the surgeon's view is the unifying view of the issue.
The chapters are therefore supplemented with rich visual documentation and clear diagrams. The text is complemented by descriptions of typical case studies and the results of a surgical-anatomical dissection study.
