Image of Holy Places in Peregrinatio Egeriae and Adamnan's De Locis Sanctis

Abstract

The article compares the description of holy places in Jerusalem on the basis of two Latin sources, the late ancient travelogue Peregrinatio Egeriae and the early medieval work of Adamnan of Iona De locis sanctis.
