Jan Blahoslav and his manual for the formation of a good preacher

Abstract

This article presents the timelessness of the homiletics textbook Vitia concionatorum (The Faults of Preachers 1570) by Jan Blahoslav (1523-1571), analyzes its main ideas, and shows that its practical advices can be useful also in contemporary homiletical training.
