Abstract
In the last issue, you read how we took the sediments of selected mineral springs of the Slavkovský Forest and found fossil pollen grains, plant macroremains, microscopic carbons and fungal spores in them, through which we got a glimpse of the form of mineral springs and their surroundings deep in the past. In some cases until the Ice Age.
In today's piece, we will bring you closer to another biological corpus delicti of ancient times, namely diatoms - organisms of microscopic dimensions, but of great importance.
