Given the ever-increasing liberalization of job interviews for physical education and demographic decline, as a major factor in determining this situation, career prospects are not sufficiently verified as practice would require. In many cases, effective control of the mental, motor skills of future PE teachers is slowly but surely abandoned. As a result, there is a discrepancy between the desired pattern of a physical education teacher, which would be in accordance with the social order and the existing real state. For this reason, the monograph deals with questions determining the students' prerequisites to pursue the profession of physical education teacher on the basis of a quantitative and subsequent qualitative analysis of the psychological, physical and motor skills of physical education students and their subsequent confrontation with the physical education teacher model.

The theoretical part explains the basic starting platforms necessary to adequately address the issue. The results needed to produce the publication were obtained through a number of standardized scientific methods (from assessing posture, psychological and sociological examination methods to verifying motor performance). We used quantitative statistical methods and qualitative methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction and comparison. A total of 542 university students participated in the research. The obtained data were then thoroughly processed and the obtained data were subsequently subjected to quantitative analysis. The results were presented in individual graphs and tables together with descriptive statistics. Subsequently, we focused on qualitative analysis of achieved research results. These analyzes have led us to conclude that the hypotheses set out have been confirmed with the exception of the hypothesis which assumed a higher level of health awareness of CM students in relation to physical education students. The results of health behavior are of an average level. After analyzing the IZZ auxiliary scale, it was also confirmed that positive mental thinking is characteristic of physical education students. Physical education students reached the highest level in the IZZ test, but the difference between them and medical students (CM) is small and insignificant from a statistical point of view. Based on the analysis of variables taken into account in the context of the results obtained with the collected and subsequently analyzed parameters, we tried to create the basic assumptions enabling to set the profile of a physical education student, a future physical education teacher.
