Abstract
The interview aims to the sociological reflection of coping the health crisis connected with the Covid 19 pandemic in the years 2020-2022. It confronts the inclination towards strict restrictions as opposed to a solution through collective reflection, draws attention to the differences in political culture, in the values of free individual decision-making versus solidarity and consideration towards own community.
It shows that the social impacts of the epidemic and the social determinants of its management are substantial, and considers the role of sociological research as a source of data and sociologists, who interpret these data and provide them to politicians.
