Paper discusses Aristotle's thoughts, which significantly aheaded their time, in the sense of his thinking and theoretical analysis of tragedy and comedy. According to Aristotle is the goal of tragedy subsequent purification of the soul throughout the catharsis.

This emotional transformation is explained through mimesis and enthusiasm. Aristotle points out, that in all souls is an enthusiasm, which is explained here as a movement in the soul.

Aristotle's concept is based on the essential harmony of logos with the generally conceived nature of fysis, because it is part of fysis and human rationality belonging to own human nature. Therefore Aristotle can say, that art can complete what nature could not complete, and on the basis of this idea basically deduce the catharsic function of tragedy.
