Physical education and sports are an integral part of every person's life. As a part of the conference held to mark the 100th anniversary of sport pedagogy, a number of experts gathered at a round table to discuss topics related to physical education and sports before and during the Covid-19 pandemic and about possible forecasts for physical education and sports in the future.
The first part of the discussion concerned a general introduction into the issues of physical education in elementary and secondary school. Further, the discussion focused on specifics of current time, which places new demands on teachers of physical education. After that, also another topics has been mentioned, e. g. influence of an environment on physical education applicants, quality of graduates of teachers training programmes with the physical education teaching qualification, heterogeneousness of pupils and students, frame education programmes etc.
The part of the discussion was also the topic of a children and youth's access and relationship towards the physical activity. The main finding was that in a higher-mentioned issue mainly a social capital of a family plays the role. The another finding was that the situation may significantly differ together with a size and location of the place of settlement. The higher-mentioned issues need to be solved comprehensively.
