Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic disease with a considerable impact on patients' quality of life. In recent years, biologic drugs that target molecules that play a key role int he pathogenesis of psoriasis and have resulted in a significant increase in treatment efficacy.

The high treatment response observed with modern biologic (anti-IL-23 and anti-IL-17) drugs has led some authors to suggest that traditional treatment goals such as PASI 50 and PASI 75 are outdated and higher treatment goal goals such as PASI 90 or PASI 100, an absolute PASI <= 3, a PGA score of 0/1 or a DLQI score of 0/1 have been proposed. Indeed, recent clinical trials show that these stringent treatment goals, such as an absolute PASI <= 3, and the associated improvement in patients' quality of life, are achievable.
