The paper describes the linking of three previously aligned resources (FrameNet, VerbNet and WordNet) both by expanding their coverage (by means of enhancing existing alignments) and by mapping elements of the semantic and syntactic description of the lexical items: FrameNet frame elements and VerbNet semantic roles, FrameNet valency patterns and VerbNet syntactic patterns. The study focuses on general lexis verbs as being more representative across languages.
After describing the used resources and their interaction, we go on to outline the mapping procedures and the elements of the resulting resource. The discussion sums up the main challenges encountered in carrying out the described tasks.
