Abstract
The shortage of rural general practitioners is a burning problem that plagues the whole of Europe. Demographic development in the Czech Republic points to a gradual deepening of this situation, the population is ageing and doctors are ageing with it.
There is greater pressure on healthcare, the availability of which in the regions is one of the measures of the quality of the health system.
