Availability and possibilities of medical rehabilitation for adults with cerebral palsy: assessment of the situation in the Czech Republic by people with this diagnosis, family members and experts
Abstract
The abstract presents the content of the presentation that was given during the XXVIIIth Congress of the Society of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine, which took place on 27-27 May in Luhačovice. The content of the paper was a presentation of the results of a questionnaire survey carried out within the research project "The needs of the people with cerebral palsy in the context of the social and health care system in the Czech Republic," which was supported by the Grant Agency of Charles University.
Expecially the results related to health care and rehabilitation were presented. In particular, the situation of adults with cerebral palsy was monitored, as the availability of health and rehabilitation care deteriorates significantly in adulthood.
The results of the research confirmed the urgency of the situation and the need to develop a concept of care for people with this diagnosis.
