Resurrection in Early Judaism within the Context of Existing Beliefs about the Afterlife

Abstract

This study offers an overview of the development of the idea of resurrection within various texts from the Hellenistic period to the fall of Jerusalem. The idea of resurrection is then situated within a broader discussion of the different forms of belief in an afterlife in early Judaism.
