A device for measuring lower limb muscle strength in isokinetic movement comprising a knee support surface (3), an angular position sensor (4) provided with an arm (5), a force gauge stand (2) and a control unit provided with a display device and containing firmware for measuring, recording and evaluating data from the angular position sensor (4) and force gauges (2) connected thereto. The measurement procedure performed on the device is defined by the forward angular movement of the person being measured, who is in a kneeling position on the support surface (3), thereby causing pressure to be applied to the arm (5), which is pushed in the direction and speed of movement of the person being measured, whereby the control unit (6) evaluates the change in angular position of the arm (5) and indicates on the display device the actual and desired rate of change in angular position so as to maintain isokinetic movement.
