Preliminary Results From a Questionnaire About Teachers' Reasoning And Proving

Abstract

A presentation of results from the questionnaire conducted in MaTeK project involving results from five countries. In-service teachers were asked about their understanding of reasoning and proving in teaching mathematics, their use of reasoning and proving in different topics of mathematics as well as their confidence in improving pupils' reasoning and proving abilities.

Teachers also indicated what curricular resources they use for teaching reasoning and proving.
