Abstrakt

The Most Basin (part of the Ohre (Eger) Graben in the Czech Republic) is host to ~ 500 mthick sequence of Early Miocene swamp, fl uviodeltaic, and lacustrine sediments. Weperformed a detailed paleomagnetic, rock magnetic and geochemical analyses of the"Holesice" and "Libkovice" sedimentary sequences of the Most Formation.

The motivationwas to identify the magnetic mineralogy from previously established potential magneticpolarity transition zones.
