Abstract

Neurogenic tumors represent about 10% of all presacral tumors. In most cases (85%), these are neoplasms of a benign nature, which have a connection with the presacral nerve plexuses.

The occurrence of tumors in the presacral region is relatively rare - according to various sources, their incidence is 1/40,000 hospitalized patients. The classification of these heterogeneous lesions is based on their biological behavior (benign or malignant) and origin (congenital and acquired).

The authors present a case report of a patient who, as part of an interdisciplinary collaboration, underwent robotically assisted surgical treatment for a presacral tumor from neurogenic elements.
