Abstract
Text dedicated mainly to art competitions and orders for the initial decoration of the aforementioned party museums in the first half of the 1950s. Success here was entirely conditioned by ideological conformity and depended on the opinion of various party or state commissions.
The contemporary canon of socialist realism and its shifts in the period of de-Stalinization can be well traced on the example of the installed works.
