Abstract
Migraine is a chronic paroxysmal disease characterized by attacks of pulsating headache of moderate or severe intensity. Pharmacological treatment can be divided into acute and prophylactic treatment, where the goal of prophylactic treatment is to reduce the number of seizures and the intensity of seizures by more than 50%.
The treatment options for migraine have been newly expanded by rimegepant, which is used for the acute treatment of migraine and the prophylaxis of episodic migraine in adults.
