Abstract
Czech is typically understood as an amalgam of structural linguistic varieties (Standard Czech, Common Czech, dialects, interdialects), special types of communications (slang, argot), and common types of speech (ordinary speech, urban speech). The author believes the way Czech is conceived must be broadened to recognize international varieties of Czech (American Czech, Viennese Czech, and many others) as non-standard dialects.
