Hematology belongs to the fields in which we can observe a close connection between clinical practice and laboratory analysis. In recent years, the importance of molecular aspects of hematological diseases has been increasing, not only from the point of view of research, but especially from the point of view of purely clinical applications. Without understanding these principles, it is essentially impossible to navigate contemporary hematology. This fact became the inspiration for a group of leading Czech experts who prepared the first domestic monograph on the topic of molecular hematology, providing a basic summary of knowledge.
The monograph contains four main parts: general basics of molecular cell biology, selected new molecular biological methods, the results of which the professional public most often encounters in daily practice, molecular pathogenesis of the most common hematological malignancies and molecular pathogenesis of serious hematological non-malignant diseases.
