Abstract
The author is concerned with the shop-stewards´ status on the view of new legal regulations. Especially he targets the dualism of trade unions and works councils and the problem of trade unions´ representation.
The problems are elaborated not only in the point of view of Czech labour-law´s regulation, but is embedded in the Constitutional Law and European Law context. The author particulary deals with comparison of some selected european countries.
