Abstract
The connection between infection and atherosclerosis is investigated already for decades. As possible ethiological coofactors of disease are regarded several infectious agents.
The article summarize recent knowledge about the influence of Chlamydia pneumaniae, Cytomegalovirus and Helicobacter pylori on endothelial cells.
