Abstract

This article describes how these and other problems were addressed at the collective and indiviThis article focuses on the social and legal position of Russian doctors who emigrated to Czechoslovakia during the interwar period. The organization "Union of Russian Doctors-Citizens of the Czechoslovak Republic" is discussed, along with its interactions with the Czechoslovak Medical Chamber and government authorities.

While Russian aid provided education opportunities for refugees, employment was limited due to state laws that restricted foreigner's rights. Even those doctors who found employment faced challenges.

The article describes how these and other issues have been addressed at the collective and individual level.
