Abstract

In this paper, we recall the ever-present issue of students' misconceptions and their impact on learning and learning outcomes. We mention three typical teaching techniques used to eliminate them - analogy, cognitive conflict and self-reflective active learning.

We also present a publication with specific suggestions for working with students' misconceptions and how to eliminate them using the three techniques mentioned above.
