Abstract
The article deals with the latest poetic work of the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin. It charts how views on so-called tower poetry have changed historically and how this has influenced editorial practice.
The study also includes an analysis of the poet's language, a reflection on the possibilities of his translation and new Czech translations of several poems.
