Dynamic Control of Magnetism in Manganites

Abstract

Integration of new spintronic materials with current silicon technology shows great promise in future technology. Here, we demonstrate the possibility of growing textured La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 (LSMO) thin films on silicon substrates with magneto-optical and optical properties comparable to epitaxially grown layers on bulk SrTiO3 (STO).

Growth of LSMO is achieved by a two-dimensional nanosheet (NS) seed layer of Ca2Nb3O10 (CNO) inducing epitaxial stabilization of LSMO films.
