As the literature shows, kiteboarding - a relatively new water sport combining paragliding and surfing - has several negative and positive impacts on the natural environment and society. The goal of our research was to complete the list of the positive and negative impacts and assesses their severity.
In order to achieve this goal, the Delphi method was used to obtain experts' input. A literature-based review of impacts and two rounds of scoring by experts categorized all identified impacts into groups according to their severity.
Six of the impacts are considered as "quite severe". Among them are absence of recycling of equipment or improvement of fitness and health.
In eight cases experts did not reach the consensus about the severity.
